The traditional manufacture of folding shaper tips requires that the tips of the shaper tips be heated to harden the metal after their formation. This process changes the size of the finished tip, introducing a margin of error of 0.05 mm in both directions.
 
Adam folding shaper tips are created using an EDM (electric discharge machine). The steel, being hardened before cutting, the accuracy is improved to a margin of error of only 0.001mm. This technology also allows us to use harder steel, making folding iron with a considerably longer life.
